Buentello Law - The Bull

Strength, Resolve, and Relentless Advocacy

At our law firm, every decision we make is intentional—including the symbol we proudly associate with our name: the bull. This powerful icon isn’t just a striking image; it’s a reflection of who we are, how we work, and the values we bring to every case.

The Buentello name seems to originate from Spain, a combination from “Buen,” meaning good, and “Tello,” which is derived from the Latin “tellus” meaning land or earth.  This is our focus – make the area in which we live a better place. 

The bull is Spain’s national symbol, which seems appropriate considering it is Raul’s family name and its origin.   For my part, I am a Taurus, and it is more that possible that the Taurean stubbornness presents at times.  Thus, it was a fitting symbol for a choice that joined Raul and I in an endeavor focused on a practice in which he has spent 23 years and in which I am establishing my own law practice.

Thus we were leaning toward the bull representing our law firm from the beginning. What solidified our choice in the symbol that will hopefully become recognized as synonymous with our work was the character of the bull in cultures around the world, which align with the characteristics we want to strive for daily: spirit, strength, determination, power, perseverance, reliability and stability.

Strength

… in advocacy.   The bull is a universal symbol of strength and resilience. In the legal world, strength doesn’t come from brute force—it comes from knowledge, strategy, and the confidence to stand firm when others would retreat. Like the bull, we approach every challenge with focus and power, unafraid to push forward when the stakes are high.

… and in the face of adversity.  When someone suffers a serious injury, they often feel vulnerable, overwhelmed, and outmatched—especially when going up against powerful insurance companies and corporations. The bull represents the strength we bring to that fight. We don’t back down. We use our legal expertise, experience, and resources to level the playing field and push forward with power and precision.

Unyielding Determination

Bulls are known for their focus and persistence. Once they lock in, they don’t stop. That’s how we work. Personal injury cases can be long, complex, and emotionally draining—but we never lose sight of what matters: justice for our clients. We pursue fair compensation and our client’s goals relentlessly, whether at the negotiating table or in the courtroom.

In many cultures, bulls are seen as protectors of the land and community.  For us, that means standing guard over our clients' interests—defending what matters most with unwavering loyalty and a strong sense of justice.
